ネッタイシマカ　つのだゆき

ネッタイシマカはテング熱やマラリアを媒介する蚊として知られている。その姿は一見、日本に生息するヒトスジシマカと区別がつかない。地球温暖化によって、この感染症は今そこにある新たな危機のひとつなのである。本作では、つのだの精巧なガラス細工にデジタル AR 表現を組み込んだ。皆さんがお持ちのディバイスをこの蚊にかざす事によって、貴方の腕に蚊が飛んでくる。それは、一見コメディの様に感じるが、「貴方の血を吸った蚊はネッタイシマカかもしれません。」という強烈な地球温暖化に関する警鐘メッセージが内包されている。 2022年6月限定発売予定

Aedes aegypti is a mosquito known for transmitting dengue fever and malaria. At first glance, it is probably indistinguishable from Aedes albopictus mosquitoes that inhabit Japan. In the past, Aedes aegypti mosquitoes have been found in Japan, but are no longer found here. However, as global warming advances, mosquitoes that come to Japan inside airplanes and ships would become able to survive the winter and end up threatening our lives. Infectious diseases endemic to the tropics are one of the new crises on the horizon. In this work, Tsunodaʼ s elaborate glasswork has been combined with AR. When you hold up your device to this work, a mosquito will fly onto your hand. It may seem amusing, but it carries a powerful warning message about global warming, “The mosquito that just sucked your blood may be the Aedes aegypti mosquito” .
