ガラスは、光を通し、ゆらめく影を生み出す。
その透明感は、まるで心の中を映すかのように、
生命のはかない一瞬と永遠の時へ誘う。
日々の自然のうつろいを心のうつろいに重ねて、
いつかの記憶と夢をよびおこす。
すべてが移ろう中で、その一瞬をガラスに刻んで、
永久に残る言葉にしたい。
京都に生まれ育ち、マスコミ勤務を経て、ガラスの道へ。
2011年東京藝術大学大学院修了。修了制作はガラス研究室初の台東区長奨励賞を受賞。
2013年第52回日本現代工芸美術展に初出品で現代工芸大賞を受賞。
第5回現代がラス展三輪休雪審査員賞ほか受賞多数。
現在、京都を拠点に、東京、ロンドン、ニューヨークなどで、
毎年、個展やグループ展を開いて発表している。
Glass transmits light and creates a wavering shadow.
Glass shows quite similar to human mind. As if the transparent glass reflects everything from deep inside our hearts.
It takes you to the ephemeral moment and everlasting time of life.
With everything in constant transition, the same moment will never return again. As if Nature is constantly evolving in the flow of time.
Superimposing the daily changes of nature and within our hearts, past memories and dreams are evoked.
I'd like to carve the fleeting moments into the glass and turned to everlasting and tangible expressions.
Born and raised in Kyoto, worked for media companies and began to create glass art.
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Master course, Fine arts, Glass Art in 2011.
Won Grand Prize, 52th Japan Contemporary Arts and Crafts Exhibition in 2013 and many awards.
Currently, based in Kyoto, she holds solo and group exhibitions every year in Tokyo, London, New York, etc.
